Matthew 10:42

Who shall give even one of these little ones so much as a single cup of cold water in the name of a disciple shall not lose his reward.

“The Six Christian Duties” - Matthew 25:31-45

When the Son of man comes in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne, and the people of all nations of the world will be gathered before him. Then he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from his goats, with the sheep on his right, and the goats on his left.

Then the King shall say to them on his right hand: “Come, you blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. For I was hungry, and you gave me food; I was thirsty and you gave me drink; I was a stranger and you took me in; I was naked and you clothed me; I was sick and you visited me; I was in prison and you came to me.”

Then the righteous shall answer: “Lord, when did we see you hungry and gave you food? Or thirsty and gave you drink? Or a stranger, and took you in? Or naked and clothed you? Or saw you sick, or in prison, and came to you?

And the King shall answer and say: “Truly I tell you, in as much as you have done it for one of the least of my brothers, you have done it for me.”

Then he shall say to them on the left hand: “Depart from me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels. For I was hungry, and you gave me no food; I was thirsty and you gave me no drink; I was a stranger and you did not take me in; I was naked and you did not clothe me; I was sick and you did not visit me; I was in prison and you did not come to me.”

Then they shall also answer him, saying: “Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister to you?”

Then he shall answer, saying, “Truly I tell you, in as much as you did not do it for one of the least of my brothers, you did not do it for me.

John 21:15

And when they had dined, Jesus said to Simon Peter: “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love me more than these?”

Peter replied: “Yes Lord, you know I love you.”

Jesus said: “Feed my lambs.” Then he said again: “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love me?”

Peter replied: “Yes Lord, you know I love you.”

Jesus said: “Feed my sheep.” Then he said for the third time: “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love me?”

Peter was distressed because he asked him “Do you love me?” for a third time. So he said: “Lord, you know all things, you know I love you.”

Jesus said to him: “Feed my sheep.”

John 10:7-11

Then Jesus said: “Truly, I tell you, I am the door of the sheep. All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them. I am the door. If any man enters through me, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.

“The thief comes only to steal, and to kill, and to destroy; but I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. I am the good shepherd, who gives his life for the sheep.”

Luke 14:12-14

Then he said to the one who invited him: “When you make a dinner or a supper, do not call your friends, or your brothers, or your relatives, or your rich neighbors, for they might invite you in turn, and repay you. But when you make a feast, call the poor, the maimed, the lame and the blind, and you will be blessed, for they cannot repay you, and you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous.

Luke 14:15-24 (Matthew 22:2-9)

When one of them that sat at dinner with him heard these things, he said: “Blessed is he that shall eat bread in the kingdom of God.”

Jesus replied: “A certain man made a great supper, and invited many, and sent his servant to tell those invited that the supper was ready. But they all made excuses. The first said: ‘I have bought some land, and I need to go see it.’

“The next said: ‘I have bought five oxen, and I must test them.’

“The third said: ‘I have just married, and cannot come.’

“So the servant returned and told his lord. Then the master of the house became angry and said: ‘Go quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in the poor, the maimed, the crippled and the blind.’

“And the servant said: ‘Lord, it has been done, and still there is room.’

“And the lord said to the servant: ‘Go out into the highways and hedges and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled. For none of the men who were invited will taste my supper.”

Matthew 22:10

So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good, and the wedding was furnished with guests.
