Eye on the Sparrow - Matthew 10:29-31 (Luke 12:6-7)

Two sparrows are sold for a coin, yet not one of them shall fall on the ground without being seen by your heavenly Father. But even the hairs on your head have been counted. Fear not, therefore, you are worth more than many sparrows.



Matthew 18:11-14 (Luke 15:3-6)

The Son of man is come to save that which was lost. What do you think? If a man has a hundred sheep, and one of them goes astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine, and go into the mountains, and seek the one that is gone astray. And if he finds it, he rejoices more over that one sheep than over the ninety-nine which never went astray. In the same way, it is not the will of your Father in heaven that even one of these little ones should perish.



Luke 15:7-10

I tell you, in the same way there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner that repents than over ninety-nine that need no repentance.

Or what woman with ten pieces of silver, if she loses one piece, does not light a candle, and sweep the house, and seek diligently till she finds it? And when she has found it, she calls her friends and her neighbors together, saying: “Rejoice with me, for I have found the piece which I had lost.” Likewise, I tell you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repents.
