The Signs of Jesus

John 2:18-21

Then the Jews said: “What sign will you show us, given that you have done these things?”

Jesus answered: “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.”

Then the Jews said: “It took forty-six years to build this temple, and you will raise it up in three days?” But Jesus spoke rather of the temple of his body.

“The Sign of Nineveh” - Luke 11:29-32 (Matthew 12:38-42 , see also Matthew 16:4)

This is an evil generation, they seek a sign; but no sign shall be given them but the sign of the prophet Jonah. For as Jonah was a sign to the Ninevites, so shall the Son of Man be a sign to this generation.

The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with the men of this generation, and condemn them: for she came from the utmost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here.

The men of Nineveh shall rise in judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: because they repented at the preaching of Jonah; and, behold, a greater than Jonah is here.

John 20:26

Eight days later his disciples, including Thomas, were inside with the doors shut. Then Jesus came and stood among them and said: “Peace be unto you.”

Then he said to Thomas: “Reach out your finger, and behold my hands, and reach out your hand, and thrust it into my side, and do not be faithless, but believe.”

And Thomas answered: “My LORD and my God.”

Jesus said to him: “Thomas, because you have seen me, you have believed, but blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.”
